Production Assistant

About the role

The Production Assistant supports the VFX Producer to keep projects on track, working closely with the project team and wider company support groups. The role demands a calm, organised approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the VFX Producer with daily tasks and project data management.
• Track and update the production database, including feedback, deliveries and status changes.
• Prepare client review materials together with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor.
• Take accurate notes in internal and external meetings.
• Maintain communication groups (email, ShotGrid) and manage the project calendar.
• Coordinate new‑starter onboarding, welcome emails and meetings.
• Act as the production point of contact for the Facilities team.
• Support project event planning and budgeting.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to stay level‑headed under pressure.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Enthusiastic, supportive and proactive in improving processes.

Required skills

• Experience with ShotGrid software (desirable).
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel (essential).
• Basic editorial knowledge (desirable).
• Basic Linux familiarity (desirable).
