Procurement Representative – French‑speaking (Barcelona)

About the role

Ecolab is seeking a French‑speaking Procurement Representative to join its Equipment Manufacturing Procurement Team in Barcelona. The role focuses on strategic sourcing of direct materials, cost optimisation, and supplier relationship management within a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and deploy Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing processes to drive cost optimisation.
• Develop, manage and execute sourcing and savings projects, including pipeline development and financial validation.
• Identify and implement sourcing strategies for direct‑material tail vendors to reduce cost and improve supply security.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers covering pricing, contracts and long‑term agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery reliability, service level and risk exposure.
• Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing and Sales on new product and machine developments.
• Track market trends, assess risks and provide commercial recommendations.
• Coordinate alternative supplier qualification initiatives from a commercial perspective.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ERP (SAP) deployment activities.
• Investigate and resolve supply risks or disruptions, including force‑majeure events.

Required profile

• Commercial‑minded procurement professional with experience in strategic sourcing.
• Fluency in French and ability to work in an international setting.
• Strong analytical mindset focused on Total Delivered Cost and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage supplier contracts.
• Willingness to collaborate cross‑functionally and support global procurement initiatives.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) proficiency.
