Procurement Manager - Avionics Systems Platforms & Connectivity

About the role

A strategic opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager in Avionics Systems Platforms & Connectivity within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse, joining the Equipment and Systems Procurement department. Inside the Cockpit, Platform & Connectivity systems team, you will influence how future systems evolve toward greater connectivity and autonomy, developing end-to-end business solutions that affect Airbus's revenues, costs and EBIT. You will work in a multi-functional team aligned with Programs, Supply Chain, Engineering and Customer Services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the contract portfolio across its full lifecycle (innovation, development, series production and in-service support) with key aeronautical suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, conditions and procurement policies.
• Negotiate amendments and claims with suppliers to secure the best commercial and operational terms for Airbus.
• Contribute to sourcing activities, managing or taking part in calls for tenders and contract negotiations.
• Drive strategic supplier relationships and performance, proactively managing supply chain and commercial risks and keeping suppliers aligned with Airbus standards.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment with Programs, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Support, Quality, Finance and Legal, and contribute to multi-functional teams and R&T initiatives.
• Take part in negotiations framing R&D projects and prepare the ground for future calls for tenders on new technologies or systems.

Required profile

• 5-year degree in Business, Procurement or Engineering.
• First experience in procurement/buying, including exposure to commercial contract and claims negotiations.
• Experience in software sourcing, avionics systems or complex equipment platform integration is a strong plus.
• Fluency in English (negotiation level) is mandatory; French is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in multi-functional teams.
• Proactive, customer-oriented and interested in new technologies, system modularity and aerospace innovation.
