Préparateur de Maintenance (h/f)

About the role

The Maintenance Preparer will join BASF's Health & Care Products division in France, supporting the production site in Meaux. Working under the Mechanical Manager, the role ensures that the plant’s mechanical assets operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, plan and monitor mechanical maintenance interventions and new‑work projects, optimising human and material resources.
• Assist the Mechanical Manager and act as an operational liaison, providing technical support for mechanical and piping activities.
• Diagnose equipment failures, define corrective actions and coordinate the execution of work orders, allocating tasks within the team.
• Manage equipment and spare‑part inventories, overseeing repair, reconditioning and restocking to guarantee availability.
• Use the SAP‑based CMMS (GMAO) to create work orders, track interventions and analyse maintenance histories.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, focusing on energy performance and industrial reliability.
• Ensure strict compliance with EHSQ requirements, coordinate external service providers and promote site safety culture.

Required profile

• BTS Maintenance Industrielle with a mechanical specialization and required certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a complex industrial environment, preferably a high‑threshold Seveso site.
