Postdoctoral Fellow – In Vitro/Ex Vivo ADME Liquid Biopsy

About the role

We are seeking a fast‑learning scientist to develop robust protocols for extracting liver‑derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) from culture media and human plasma, and to apply multi‑omics approaches to monitor CYP450 and drug transporter induction/inhibition. The work will support our global drug‑drug interaction monitoring strategy throughout clinical development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments with primary human hepatocytes, relevant cell lines, and human samples to set up and optimise liver‑derived EV isolation/enrichment protocols.
• Evaluate EV‑based readouts for assessing xenobiotic impacts on ADME protein expression (CYP450 and drug transporters).
• Optimise sample preparation to maximise data yield from minimal plasma volumes.
• Perform quantitative proteomics and transcriptomics studies on extracted EVs to monitor induction effects.
• Collaborate transversally with R&D scientists to generate and analyse omics datasets.
• Communicate results internally and externally through presentations, posters, and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Contribute to lab activities, including mentoring students and participating in outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology or equivalent.
• Proven experience with extracellular vesicle extraction and analysis.
• Expertise in core biochemical methods (Western blot, ELISA, qPCR).
• Strong communication skills with a record of publishing in international peer‑reviewed journals.
