Plant Purchasing Manager (M/F)

About the role

The Plant Purchasing Manager ensures that Imerys’ purchasing and supply processes are applied consistently across seven plants in central France. Working closely with site operations, buyers and the Procurement Hub in Greece, the manager drives supplier performance, tender management and contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee compliance with Imerys’ purchasing policy, supplier selection guidelines and the Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) process.
• Lead RFQs, negotiate contracts for OPEX and CAPEX purchases, and manage supplier performance for categories such as industrial equipment, maintenance services, indirect spend, mining and laboratory studies.
• Develop and implement local purchasing strategies, consolidate requirements, and create synergies across regional sites.
• Maintain the supplier panel, conduct regular business reviews, monitor KPIs (quality, cost, delivery) and handle non‑conformities.
• Serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate procurement support.
• Report financial performance, track savings targets and support continuous improvement of procurement tools (SAP, Ivalua).

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OPEX and CAPEX procurement processes and contract management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
