Plant Manager – Industrial Site Leader

About the role

We are partnering with a global manufacturing business to find a Plant Manager who will lead the implementation of the company’s industrial strategy at an established site. Reporting to the Executive Management Committee, you will be fully accountable for performance, development and strategic direction of a large industrial operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a site of approximately 200 FTE, creating and executing a continuous‑improvement plan.
• Assess and optimise supply‑chain and manufacturing processes, establishing best‑practice operating standards.
• Address delivery and lead‑time challenges to stabilise operations and improve on‑time performance.
• Act as a senior customer‑facing leader, managing quality issues and rebuilding confidence with strategic accounts.
• Oversee production for key customers and flagship programmes, ensuring consistent quality and delivery.
• Redesign the plant organisation at senior and management levels to ensure appropriate leadership depth.
• Implement lean management principles focused on sustainable performance improvement.
• Drive operational excellence across quality, cost, performance and lead times using data‑driven performance management.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to communicate capacity constraints and recovery plans.
• Build, develop and engage teams, strengthening leadership capability and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance, engineering or plant operations leadership.
• Proven track record of leading large, complex industrial organisations.
• Strong managerial skills with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution.
