Plant General Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, people‑focused Plant General Manager to lead a complex manufacturing site within a global organization. The role carries full accountability for site performance across operations, safety, quality and people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations in a multi‑process environment
• Drive key performance metrics across productivity, efficiency, and cost
• Ensure consistent and reliable plant performance
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead risk management and site safety initiatives
• Maintain product quality and support audit and compliance processes
• Ensure adherence to customer and regulatory standards
• Lead and develop a cross‑functional leadership team
• Build capability, engagement, and a constructive working environment
• Oversee site financial performance, including cost control and productivity
• Manage budgets and capital investment planning
• Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support operational efficiency and process optimisation

Required profile

• Significant experience in manufacturing leadership roles
• Strong technical and operational background within industrial environments
• Proven experience managing plant performance and cost drivers
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with structured improvement methodologies such as Lean
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Analytical and performance‑driven mindset
• Degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
