People Operations Lead – Europe

About the role

Capi is building the financial infrastructure for emerging markets. As the People Operations Lead for Europe, you will own and improve the People Ops function across France and other global offices, ensuring compliance with French employment law and delivering a seamless employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert on French employment law, handling contracts, works council obligations, terminations, leave entitlements and statutory requirements.
• Own compliance documentation, keep practices audit‑ready, and partner with Legal on complex employment situations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle for direct hires and EOR‑assigned markets, including onboarding, off‑boarding, contracts, payroll inputs and benefits coordination.
• Build and maintain SOPs, templates and playbooks to enable consistent, compliant People Ops delivery at scale.
• Oversee EOR partner relationships, identify issues early and hold vendors to high standards.
• Identify operational gaps, lead process improvements and contribute to cross‑functional HRIS, onboarding and policy projects.
• Support team gatherings, market visits and off‑sites to strengthen culture and employee experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading People Operations or HR functions in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
• Deep knowledge of French employment law and compliance requirements.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to design scalable processes.
• Excellent communication skills, empathetic and solutions‑oriented when supporting employees.
• Ability to work autonomously and partner closely with senior leadership.
