Part 147 Maintenance Instructor & Proficiency Assessor

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Part 147 Maintenance Instructor Training & Proficiency Assessor to join its Training Center in Toulouse. The role ensures global compliance with EASA regulations and develops Airbus maintenance instructors worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Annual Proficiency Checks (APCs) for instructors across the global network.
• Deliver the Airbus Maintenance Instructor Course (AMIC) and train‑the‑trainer programmes.
• Audit training centres, perform site surveys and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee candidate selection, qualification pipelines and mentorship of new instructors.
• Maintain audit‑proof documentation of instructor credentials and competency profiles.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of aircraft maintenance experience in an EASA Part‑145 environment.
• Hold an EASA Part‑66 Category B1 and/or B2 licence (dual B1/B2 highly advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years delivering theoretical/practical aircraft maintenance instruction.
• High‑level English proficiency (minimum CEFR B2).

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of EASA Part‑66, Part‑147 and Part‑145 regulations.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital testing tools.
• Experience conducting practical assessments and audits.
• Familiarity with Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition (MTOE) documentation.
