Operator / Service Technician – Wind Energy (Nord)

About the role

Join Vestas, a leading wind‑energy company, as an Operator / Service Technician in the Nord region of France. You will work on wind farms, ensuring turbines operate at peak performance throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic service inspections and replace or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components according to Vestas specifications.
• Monitor turbine conditions and operate remote‑control systems to optimise performance.
• Maintain a fully stocked service vehicle and warehouse, ordering tools, materials and spare parts as needed.
• Assemble major components using internal or external cranes, following work instructions.
• Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma with technical experience (maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanics) – preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, BTS/DUT in industrial, electrical or mechanical engineering, certified by BZEE – required for technician level.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electricity, with knowledge of high‑voltage systems.
• Proactive communication with customers, flexible, autonomous and results‑oriented.
• Ability to work at height and strong commitment to safety.
