Operations Director

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Director to lead end‑to‑end operational excellence for RFID hardware and tag products. The role covers the full product lifecycle from supplier sourcing and manufacturing to logistics and customer delivery, supporting growth and margin targets in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Manage manufacturing operations (in‑house and contract), including capacity planning, yield, scrap and efficiency targets.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, dual‑sourcing, cost negotiations and long‑term agreements.
• Own COGS, operational budgets and productivity targets; drive cost‑reduction initiatives such as BOM optimisation and logistics optimisation.
• Implement and track KPIs including on‑time delivery, inventory turns, manufacturing yield and cost variances.
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to balance demand, supply and inventory.
• Ensure products meet quality, reliability and regulatory requirements (CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ISO) and oversee quality controls and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven leadership responsibility for operational performance across EMEA, APAC and coordination with US operations.
• Experience integrating financial and operating plans with strategic objectives.
• Ability to manage risk related to shortages, geopolitical factors and lead times.

Required skills

• RFID, NFC and BLE technologies.
• Supply chain management and S&OP processes.
• Manufacturing operations and capacity planning.
• Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) management and BOM optimisation.
• Quality compliance (CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ISO).
