Network & Security Architecture Manager (Transition Manager)

About the role

Devoteam, a technology consulting firm covering cloud, cyber, AI and sustainable development, is looking for a Network & Security Architecture Manager (Transition Manager) based in Paris. You will lead a small team of four network and security architects during a transition period, define the architecture strategy and prepare a complete handover for the permanent manager.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the current architecture landscape, ongoing initiatives and risks, and confirm a pragmatic 3-6 month roadmap aligned with IT and cybersecurity strategy
• Lead, support and develop the team of four network and security architects: clarify priorities, allocate capacity and ensure day-to-day management continuity
• Define and drive the architecture strategy for LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, SSE and datacenters, with a focus on immediate impact and decision-making
• Provide high-level expertise and escalation support on critical topics, ensuring service stability and risk mitigation
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, operations and external vendors, and prepare a handover package for the permanent manager

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, including significant architecture experience and proven team management or technical leadership
• Proven ability to step into complex organizations quickly (interim, consulting or turnaround contexts) and deliver within short timelines
• Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in an international environment, to challenge, arbitrate and decide
• Strong prioritization skills and a pragmatic approach balancing long-term architecture principles with operational constraints
• Fluent English, written and spoken

• SD-WAN (Fortinet), SSE (Zscaler), firewalling (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• WLAN/LAN (Cisco Meraki), datacenter (Juniper LAN, Cisco LAN, F5)
• Cloud networking concepts, especially AWS
