Network and Telecom Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Network and Telecom Administrator to join HCLTech’s client site in Lille, France. The role involves managing and maintaining LAN, MAN and WAN infrastructures, as well as telephony solutions, in a critical, multi‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure availability and performance of network and telecom infrastructures (LAN/MAN/WAN).
• Manage network‑related projects, including migrations and modernisation initiatives.
• Monitor alerts, incidents and problems, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and security hardening of the environment.
• Provide Level 2/3 support and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network and telecom administration.
• Fluent French (C1) and good English (B2).
• Proven ability to work in multi‑site, international settings.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Administration of LAN, MAN and WAN networks.
• VPN configuration and management.
• Proxy and reverse‑proxy setup.
• Firewall configuration and management.
• Network monitoring tools such as PRTG and Nagios.
• Network security practices (access control, segmentation, hardening).
• Telephony solutions administration (Microsoft Teams, Cisco, PABX).
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell and Python.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
