About the role

The association Asfad in Rennes seeks a part‑time pediatric physician (0.10 full‑time equivalent) on a permanent contract. The doctor will support children’s health within the Protection of Childhood unit, focusing on preventive care, early detection of developmental issues, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive pediatric consultations, update vaccination schedules, and monitor child health.
• Screen early for developmental disorders and refer families to specialists such as speech therapists, psychomotor therapists, or orthoptists.
• Collaborate with the on‑site pediatric nurse for weekly individual consultations with children and parents.
• Supervise and adapt care plans for children with disabilities or chronic illnesses in liaison with treating physicians or specialists.
• Support parental skills assessment and contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Participate in bi‑weekly team coordination meetings and contribute to holistic, ecological approaches to child welfare.

Required profile

• Medical degree with qualification in pediatrics or child health.
• Experience in preventive pediatric care and vaccination management.
• Ability to identify early developmental concerns and coordinate referrals.
• Comfort working within a multidisciplinary, social‑service environment.
