Mechanical Engineer – Robotics & Automation

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in Robotics and Automation to join its Robotics and Automation team in Toulouse, France. The role focuses on developing innovative industrial robotic stations and production lines that will support future aircraft manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and propose jigs and tools integration solutions using CATIA V5 for industrial missions.
• Define technical constraints related to the station, aeronautical environment and macro‑operations.
• Perform mechanical dimensioning, including static and dynamic stress analysis, and adapt designs accordingly.
• Conduct safety risk assessments and ergonomic analyses of the stations.
• Coordinate with external suppliers to deliver design documentation, validate specifications and support installation.

Required profile

• Significant professional experience in jigs and tools integration for industrial lines.
• Strong technical expertise in related technologies and a proven ability to solve complex problems in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.
