Mechanical Design & Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design & Development Engineer to join our Mechanical Department in Caussade, France. Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components that seamlessly integrate with hydraulic and electrical systems, supporting products throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies, ensuring integration with hydraulic and electrical components.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including preliminary sizing calculations and technical‑economic evaluations.
• Produce complete engineering documentation such as assembly drawings, detailed part drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Participate in testing, validation, and continuous improvement of existing and new products.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Customer Service teams to resolve technical issues and implement product changes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in mobile or industrial machinery environments.
• Fluent in both written and spoken French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (experience with CREO is an advantage).
• Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of SAP is a plus).
