Level 1 Network Support Engineer

About the role

The Network Support Engineer – Level 1 will provide first‑line technical assistance for the company’s network infrastructure. Based in Rians, France, you will ensure connectivity, performance and timely resolution of incidents while supporting the business’s IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 support for network incidents and service requests, including LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi and basic routing/switching issues.
• Monitor network performance, identify connectivity problems and proactively flag potential outages.
• Configure and install network devices such as routers, switches and access points, and support VPN connectivity.
• Manage tickets within defined SLAs, update documentation and maintain incident records.
• Communicate with end‑users, internal IT teams, vendors and service providers, providing status updates.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 teams and ensure adherence to support standards and procedures.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in network support or IT infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Hands‑on knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks.
• Experience with VPN configuration and network monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation practices.
