Legal Counsel – Research & Innovation (QFS) – Permanent

About the role

Danone is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its Research & Innovation (R&I) teams focused on QFS. Based in Paris Saclay (with the possibility to work from Utrecht), you will provide expert legal advice on contracts, compliance and data‑privacy matters, ensuring that projects align with Danone’s ethical and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and validate service, collaboration, research, development and partnership agreements for QFS projects.
• Ensure compliance with external laws, internal regulations, Danone’s social and sustainability principles, Code of Conduct, HCS Directive and GDPR.
• Guard the Contract Policy and collaborate with procurement on the purchase of goods and services.
• Support R&I teams locally and across borders on non‑QFS related legal matters.
• Deliver draft agreements, drive them to execution and monitor compliance with company policies.
• Contribute to data‑privacy compliance and actively participate in Legal Department projects.
• Escalate risks in a timely manner and act as a business partner for R&I QFS teams.

Required profile

• Legal background with experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong knowledge of external legislation, internal corporate policies and GDPR requirements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with procurement, finance, HR and global legal teams.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with business units and third parties.
