Legal Counsel - Product Liability

About the role

Airbus Commercial is seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in Product Liability to join its Legal Corporate Affairs team in Toulouse, France. You will support internal stakeholders on liability matters, investigations and litigation while contributing to the safety and compliance of Airbus products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management of product liability cases, including coordination of external investigations.
• Conduct legal research across multiple jurisdictions and draft advice for internal customers.
• Review and advise on technical documents destined for external communication.
• Support engineering, safety and security activities with legal input.
• Organise training and awareness initiatives to prevent legal issues.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess and integrate AI considerations into product liability processes.
• Provide timely reporting on ongoing matters and support the department’s pro‑bono practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department, with solid exposure to complex product liability cases, investigations and litigation in France and internationally.
• Strong understanding of insurance aspects related to product liability.
• Ability to learn technical details of Airbus products and interact effectively with business units.
• Proven capability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel regularly for business purposes.
