Legal Counsel – EMEA SaaS & Technology

About the role

Octave is looking for a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to support its fast‑growing international software business across EMEA. Working closely with sales and regional contract teams, you will act as a trusted advisor on high‑value technology contracts, public tenders and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, revise and negotiate software licence, SaaS, sale, services, maintenance, framework, reseller, partnership, distribution, subcontractor and NDA agreements.
• Review tender documents, project proposals and statements of work; advise project teams on contract interpretation and dispute resolution.
• Support public tender processes and ensure compliance with EU public contracting rules.
• Maintain and update standard terms, templates and document‑management systems.
• Develop and deliver legal and compliance training for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, vendors and external counsel on corporate, employment and property matters.
• Oversee insurance renewals, lease agreements and other regional office documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified jurist or attorney specializing in commercial law, preferably with experience in IT/technology contracts.
• Native French speaker with excellent English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, high‑energy environment and support sales teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and solution‑oriented approach to legal challenges.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IP and IT legal matters.
• Familiarity with EU public procurement regulations.
• Experience negotiating high‑value SaaS and technology agreements.
