Legal Counsel – 12‑month contract with potential permanent role

About the role

We are seeking a CAPA‑qualified Legal Counsel for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Paris, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position. The role sits within a fast‑growing international company operating across Europe and North America, reporting to an experienced General Counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for M&A transactions and acquisition pipelines.
• Advise on corporate governance, shareholder and board matters.
• Handle group restructuring, corporate reorganisations and general corporate transactions.
• Develop and implement governance frameworks and legal processes.
• Collaborate with senior management and board‑level stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• CAPA‑qualified lawyer with a strong corporate law background.
• Experience in a leading international or French law firm, preferably with a blend of private practice and in‑house work.
• Proven track record advising on M&A, corporate governance, shareholder matters and group reorganisations.
• Commercially minded, ambitious and able to work closely with the business.
