Lead KYB Operations Lead

About the role

Pennylane is building its own licensed financial services unit and needs a senior operational leader to design and run the KYB/KYC function for business customers. As Lead KYB you will shape the team, processes and tooling to handle up to 10,000 onboarding cases per month while ensuring AML/CTF compliance and a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end operational execution of KYB/KYC workflows, including risk classification, beneficial‑owner checks, PEP and sanctions screening.
• Recruit, train and manage a KYB analyst team, defining structure, SLAs, productivity and quality metrics.
• Translate regulatory policies into SOPs, decision trees and analyst playbooks, and continuously improve processes for scalability.
• Collaborate with Product and Tech to design analyst interfaces, test tooling and identify automation opportunities.
• Implement a QA framework, monitor risk indicators and produce regular performance reports for compliance audits.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in KYB/KYC, compliance or risk operations within a regulated fintech, bank or payment institution.
• Proven track record managing high‑volume operational teams and delivering AML/CTF compliant processes.
• Hands‑on experience with KYB tooling, back‑office workflow automation and translating policies into operational procedures.
• Strong collaboration skills with Product, Tech, Compliance and Risk functions.
