Lab Test Means Integration Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Lab Test Means Integration Engineer (m/f) to join its Flight and Integration Test Centre in Toulouse, France. The centre develops and deploys instrumentation components for test rigs, and the engineer drives the testing and deployment of components across test facilities to support avionics programs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, execute and document hardware/software testing and deployment activities for components.
• Define technical deliverables and manage purchase orders for subcontracted test and deployment activities.
• Update the test matrix and proactively escalate associated project risks and opportunities.
• Perform defect analysis, test bug fixes and suggest improvements for the integration test bench.
• Harmonize test procedures and ways of working with test facilities in Filton, Hamburg and Bremen.

Required profile

• Engineering background or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in lab test means or instrumentation.
• Intermediate level of English to collaborate in an international environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of test system mechanical and electrical interfaces (racks, connectors, cabling).
• Solid understanding of standard avionics protocols and signals (A429, AFDX, discretes, analog, CAN).
• Foundational IT skills (networking, computing machines, cybersecurity rules) and basic programming knowledge.
