Junior Embroideries Designer (Fashion)

About the role

Join Balenciaga’s design team as a Junior Embroideries Designer, supporting the creation of luxury embroidery motifs for upcoming collections. You will work closely with the Artistic Direction to translate thematic concepts into detailed visual designs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret themes defined by the Artistic Direction.
• Conduct visual and iconographic research aligned with those themes.
• Create detailed sketches and embroidery motifs using Photoshop, Illustrator, or hand‑drawing techniques.
• Develop sketches for lookbooks and showroom presentations.
• Provide daily support to the design team, including mood boards, meeting organization, and prototype development.
• Assist during fittings and fashion shows.
• Monitor development stages of assigned models and ensure compliance with industrialization timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in embroidery design within a luxury or fashion house.
• Experience with design inputs and motif placement.
• Fluent in English and French; Italian is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable collaborating in a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong hand‑drawing ability for embroidery design.
