Junior Breeding Consultant

About the role

RENECO is seeking a Junior Breeding Consultant to join its captive breeding team focused on the conservation of Houbara bustard populations in Morocco and Kazakhstan. Under the supervision of the Centre Management Division Manager, you will be trained on all propagation techniques and contribute to the achievement of production objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement breeding phases according to Conservation Breeding Division guidelines and Centre Management Division framework.
• Ensure compliance with established breeding protocols and fundamentals.
• Facilitate communication between the project team and CMD management.
• Monitor site resources and advise on infrastructure, personnel, or equipment improvements.
• Lead staff capacity building, including employee evaluation, training organization, team management, and schedule supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, animal production, agro‑development or a related field.
• First experience with animal husbandry, preferably with birds.
• Knowledge of breeding techniques, disease recognition and basic veterinary skills.
• Diet and nutrition management abilities.
• Understanding of ethical considerations and conservation status of endangered or exotic birds.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Russian or French is an asset.
• Willingness to relocate to Morocco or Kazakhstan.
