Junior AML & Control Manager (Fixed‑term)

About the role

Join the Banking Department of the Bank of China Paris Branch as a Junior AML & Control Manager. This fixed‑term position is ideal for recent graduates or candidates seeking their first professional experience in anti‑money‑laundering and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve transaction monitoring alerts from the Financial Intelligence Unit within required timeframes.
• Analyse risks based on customer knowledge, transaction background, documentation and Relationship Manager input.
• Request and follow up on additional client information until case closure.
• Review alerts for individuals and corporate customers across SEPA, international transfers, cheques and other payment types.
• Process sanctions, AML/CFT and PEP screening alerts on the same business day, including US‑resident screening.
• Monitor changes in customer profiles, report suspicious activity and stay updated on regulatory developments.
• Support specific compliance investigations, correspondent banking reviews, client exit processes and data requests from regulators.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies while upholding the branch’s professional reputation.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree (Bac+5 or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions screening and KYC requirements.
• Strong analytical abilities to investigate complex transactions.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet regulatory deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese with a good command of French.

Required skills

• Proficiency with core banking systems and standard IT tools.
