IT Support Engineer (Desktop Support Technician)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide on‑site desktop and infrastructure support for our Paris office and client sites. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral devices.
• Perform smart‑hand activities such as rack, switch and cabling work at client locations.
• Image workstations, install and configure applications, and support Outlook and conference‑room equipment.
• Use ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) to log, track and close incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors and manage warranty compliance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure field support.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb and work under deadline pressure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent and CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).

Required skills

• Windows OS, macOS and Linux administration.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP networking knowledge.
• LAN/WAN concepts and smart‑hand hardware handling.
• Desktop imaging and application installation.
• Ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
• CompTIA A+ and OEM vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, etc.) preferred.
