About the role

We are looking for a Production Planning Engineer to lead the planning process for our manufacturing sites. The role involves developing production schedules, coordinating with cross‑functional teams and ensuring timely delivery of orders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans for all manufacturing zones in line with defined objectives.
• Update and distribute planning files, periodic reports and KPI dashboards.
• Collaborate with business development on planning for new contracts.
• Identify internal and external constraints and risks, propose solutions to keep schedules on track.
• Ensure data quality for all input information used in planning.
• Implement tools and processes to organise the planning department’s work.
• Adjust schedules in response to design changes, material shortages, labor constraints or delays, working with management, marketing, sales, production and engineering.
• Oversee kitting/picking operations for manufacturing orders.
• Prepare and communicate manufacturing orders to production zones according to the plan.
• Monitor order execution and perform post‑completion control assessments.
• Manage weekly inbound/outbound plans for the warehouse and monitor supplier delivery schedules.
• Compile production cadence, inventory, material usage and client information for activity reports.
• Review documentation and supervise work processes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Liaise with planning teams in Portugal and maintain records in line with company policies and information security standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or an engineering school.
• 2‑5 years of experience in production management, planning, transversal management or manufacturing.
• Strong organisational, planning and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain good relationships with colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling concepts.
• Experience with KPI tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse coordination.
