Health and Safety Associate

About the role

The Health & Safety Associate will provide HSE expertise for Ocean Winds France and its offshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with French legislation, company policies and the global H&S Management System. Working closely with project teams, contractors and regional leaders, the role embeds safe work systems, delivers practical guidance and drives continuous improvement of frontline safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HSE guidance across development, construction and operation phases, including training, PPE requirements and project‑specific procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits and site visits to verify safe working practices, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work compliance.
• Maintain mandatory HSE documentation (DUERP, PAPRIPACT) and reporting in line with ISO standards.
• Support training, induction programmes and statutory compliance such as fire‑warden and first‑aider duties.
• Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Promote the Life Saving Rules, deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and awareness campaigns.
• Serve as an approachable HSE contact for employees and contractors, encouraging open reporting of hazards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in HSE management or industrial risk management.
• Strong knowledge of French health & safety legislation and offshore wind/construction regulations.
• Proven experience in HSE reporting, audits and incident management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
