Head of Supply Chain & Customer Operations

About the role

This senior, permanent position leads an integrated S&OP‑driven operating model covering supply planning, procurement and customer operations for a growing MedTech and Life Sciences distribution business in Mulhouse, France. Reporting to senior operations leadership, you will own the planning and execution backbone of the company while shaping future organisational design.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the end‑to‑end S&OP framework from demand planning through supply execution and performance review.
• Lead supply planning and procurement activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, prioritisation and risk management.
• Define the operating rhythm, including planning cadences, governance, KPIs and escalation mechanisms.
• Build and manage teams across Supply Planning, Procurement and Customer Operations (including Customer Service and Tenders/Offers).
• Partner with Logistics leadership to ensure seamless plan‑to‑delivery execution.
• Collaborate with Finance to align planning decisions with margin, working capital and service objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of workflows, data quality, tooling and ways of working.
• Contribute to the design of future organisational structure, roles and capability models.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in Supply Chain or Operations leadership with hands‑on ownership of S&OP and demand planning.
• Strong understanding of procurement, replenishment and planning in a distribution or regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and build operating models.
• Collaborative, structured leader comfortable partnering with Commercial, Finance and Logistics.
• Experience in evolving environments and scaling processes over time.
• Excellent analytical capability; English required, French strongly preferred.
