Head of People & Organization (HR Director) – France

About the role

Royal Canin is seeking a Head of People & Organization to lead the French people strategy. As a member of the French Leadership Team, you will shape talent, organizational health, and transformational change to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define, champion, and execute the people strategy for the French business.
• Provide high‑quality, efficient, and legally compliant HR administrative support using best‑in‑class processes and tools.
• Monitor organisational health and ensure the structure is fit‑for‑purpose.
• Coach and support line managers to enhance associate performance and engagement.
• Drive talent development and associate engagement initiatives, including diversity and inclusion projects.
• Lead organisational transformation initiatives in partnership with works councils.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Human Resources or a related field.
• Fluent in English; excellent oral and written communication in English and French.
• 12+ years of experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner with a strong track record in diverse P&O roles.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives and influence strategic decisions.
• Experience navigating French labour law and works council environments.
• Demonstrated passion for engagement, diversity & inclusion, and change leadership.
