Head of OneSat Programme Ground Segment

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space seeks a senior leader to head the OneSat Programme Ground Segment in Toulouse, France. You will be responsible for delivering a flexible, cyber‑secure ground segment that enables OneSat satellites to be reconfigured in orbit, meeting evolving customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, including internal staff and external partners, to deliver the OneSat ground segment.
• Ensure on‑time, on‑quality, on‑cost delivery of validated ground‑segment products in line with the OneSat business case.
• Manage Gold Project governance: work‑break‑structure, risk and opportunity tracking, schedule analysis and export‑control compliance.
• Oversee lifecycle management for more than seven OneSat and flexible‑payload projects, enforcing strict baseline change control.
• Coordinate strategic communication with international customers and internal stakeholders to keep the baseline plan aligned and ready for launch.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in satellite ground‑segment programmes or comparable aerospace projects.
• Strong track record of delivering complex, high‑value projects on schedule and budget.
• Excellent stakeholder management, including international customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to drive transformation and continuous improvement in operational processes.
