Head of Financial Crime Operations - Western Europe

About the role

Revolut is seeking a senior leader to head first‑line financial crime operations across Western Europe. You will shape the regional FinCrime strategy, ensuring robust AML, sanctions and fraud controls while protecting customers and the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain operational dashboards and reporting to give clear visibility of FinCrime performance.
• Implement quality‑assurance and control‑testing frameworks, identify weaknesses and drive remediation.
• Manage both local and outsourced teams, guaranteeing high‑quality delivery, clear ownership and aligned priorities.
• Lead regulatory and audit engagements, preparing documentation and coordinating stakeholders.
• Drive risk‑reduction initiatives and continuous improvement across detection, investigation and prevention processes.
• Translate the global FinCrime strategy into scalable, practical operations for the region.
• Maintain day‑to‑day operational control across AML, fraud and sanctions verticals.
• Ensure consistent SLAs, KPIs and quality metrics are met.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial crime, covering AML, fraud and sanctions.
• Operational background in the first line of defence within banking or fintech.
• Proven track record of building, leading and developing multi‑disciplinary FinCrime teams.
• Deep knowledge of financial crime frameworks, typologies and regulatory obligations, especially in France.
• Experience managing outsourced operational partners and overseeing service delivery.
