About the role

Lead the editorial vision for The Rundown, overseeing three daily newsletters, social channels, guides, and new show formats. Build and manage a growing team of writers, editors, and producers to expand the content operation.

Key responsibilities

• Own editorial quality across AI, Tech, and Robotics newsletters, providing detailed feedback and coaching.
• Maintain brand voice consistency across all content formats and evolve voice guidelines.
• Lead newsletter takeover editorial, ensuring sponsor content meets standards.
• Scale the media ecosystem from newsletters to a full portfolio of shows and formats.
• Design and grow the editorial team, defining roles, hiring, and reporting structures.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top editorial talent.
• Run weekly editorial syncs, track KPIs, and propose strategic directions to the CEO.

Required profile

• Senior editor or managing editor experience at a publication, newsletter, or media brand.
• Daily user of AI tools for research, drafting, and fact‑checking.
• Deep knowledge of AI topics and ability to discern important news from hype.
• Strong ability to write and teach others to write in a consistent brand voice.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high trust, ownership, and ability to work autonomously.
