Ground Segment Engineer – Satellite Operations

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Ground Segment Engineer to join its Customer Support & Operations department in Toulouse. The role focuses on controlling and maintaining the ground segment that supports flight operations for multiple Earth Observation and Telecom satellite fleets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Flight Director to prioritize and organise CGS activities across projects such as PNeo, Azaleo, CO3D, CSO‑SCC and PNEXT.
• Analyse and qualify operational ground anomalies.
• Maintain internal CGS subsystems and ensure their reliability.
• Prepare, validate and integrate new software deliveries.
• Update test environments for each delivery.
• Generate and revise operational procedures.
• Participate in on‑call duty rotation (approximately once a month).

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and maintenance processes.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and scripting.
• Familiarity with configuration‑management and CI/CD tools.
