FP&A Team Manager

About the role

Swan.io is looking for an experienced FP&A Team Manager to lead the full financial planning cycle and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership. You will shape budgeting, forecasting, reporting and finance operations for a fast‑scaling European fintech.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and structure annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long‑range planning across all business lines.
• Manage and mentor a small FP&A team, setting clear delivery standards and development paths.
• Partner with the executive team to challenge performance, support strategic decisions and provide actionable insights.
• Own corporate reporting, delivering monthly performance packs, board materials and investor‑relations KPIs.
• Modernise finance operations by improving financial systems, automated data flows and analytical tools.
• Monitor unit economics and safeguard risks, analysing margins behind transactional flows.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of FP&A experience in a fast‑scaling tech startup, B2B SaaS or FinTech/Banking environment.
• Proven people‑manager capable of delegating, conducting impactful 1:1s and coaching a high‑performing team.
• Strong strategic synthesis ability to translate numbers into clear business recommendations for executives.
• High data literacy and fluency with modern finance stacks, including ERP, EPM and BI tools.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) tools.
• Business Intelligence (BI) tool expertise.
