Footwear Designer - New Creations – Men’s

About the role

The Footwear Designer – New Creations for Men’s is responsible for shaping Lacoste’s future footwear line by creating original, culturally relevant, and commercially viable concepts. Reporting to the Head of Design Men’s & Energy, the role owns the end‑to‑end design process from consumer insight to seasonal delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own design creation of new men’s footwear styles, translating Lacoste’s brand DNA into distinctive products.
• Develop design narratives, sketches, renderings and 3D models that communicate intent clearly.
• Conduct continuous consumer, cultural and market research to identify creative opportunities.
• Create detailed upper and tooling tech packs, blueprints and 3D models.
• Partner with Footwear Development to preserve design intent through manufacturing, solving design‑to‑production challenges.
• Manage multiple projects against seasonal calendars and milestones.
• Collaborate daily with Product Line Management, Development, Innovation, Materials and Marketing.
• Participate in development and factory trips as required, traveling twice a year for up to two weeks.

Required profile

• Strong design experience with a solid understanding of footwear constructions and processes.
• Deep knowledge of sneaker, fashion and performance footwear.
• Proven ability to build detailed tech packs and blueprints.
• Highly creative, operationally strong and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable meeting strict, short deadlines without compromising quality.
• Willingness to travel twice a year for up to two weeks per trip.
