Flight Test Coordinator – Aircraft Connectivity Demonstrator

About the role

Join the Airbus UpNext team in Toulouse to lead the flight test programme for a strategic aircraft connectivity demonstrator. You will act as the technical bridge between the demonstrator project and flight operations, ensuring every test mission meets safety, security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the Flight Clearance dossier, defining technical specifications and securing stakeholder approvals.
• Coordinate with aircraft safety, security, flight lab and airline partners to align test objectives with operational requirements.
• Drive environmental qualification of connectivity hardware, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards such as DO-160 and ABD100.
• Support hardware design activities, including product characteristic analysis, supplier interaction, preliminary design, component selection and requirements definition.
• Define complex mission scenarios, organise ground‑side support infrastructure and conduct flight crew briefings.
• Oversee aircraft kit integration, validating hardware, software and documentation for seamless installation.
• Lead project governance meetings (PRMs, SteerCo) to report progress, resolve technical blockers and keep the roadmap on track.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end flight test lifecycles.
• Background in environmental qualification of aeronautical systems.
• Experience preparing flight clearance dossiers and working with regulatory bodies.
• Familiarity with demonstrator or R&D projects in the aerospace sector.
• Strong coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
