Flight Control & Autopilot Systems Testing Engineer

About the role

A Flight Control & Autopilot Systems Testing Engineer position has opened within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Flight and Integration Tests centre, responsible for integration testing of flight control (ATA 27) and autopilot (ATA 22) systems across all programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, challenge and harmonise test orders in line with the overall test strategy.
• Define and write test procedures and test cases to validate flight‑control laws, software and system design.
• Perform tests on laboratory benches, aircraft integration simulators and flight‑test aircraft, then analyse results and produce test reports.
• Support flight tests with real‑time telemetry analysis and participate in working groups with Design Office, Flight Test Engineers and Programme teams.
• Report and classify identified issues using the designated reporting tools.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement through big‑data analytics, automation and digitalisation.

Required profile

• Proactive, result‑oriented engineer with a degree in Aeronautics or a related field.
• 3‑6 years of experience in system testing or development.
• Open‑minded, strong communication and synthesis skills, and a strong team spirit.

Required skills

• Knowledge of testing systems and flight mechanics.
• Coding skills in Python and data‑analysis techniques.
• Experience with embedded system design or computer‑science concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English.
