Finance Manager – Financial Administration & Reporting

About the role

The Finance Manager will oversee day‑to‑day financial administration for the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) Group. This hands‑on position combines bookkeeping, reconciliations, payment processing, management reporting, budgeting support and financial analysis to enable informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Post bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts across all entities.
• Review, allocate and manage card and expense transactions, including receipt handling.
• Export approved expenses to the accounting system.
• Allocate Stripe, PayPal and other payment receipts correctly.
• Review sales invoices and ensure proper allocation and treatment.
• Support supplier invoice workflows and prepare payments.
• Execute payments and monitor outstanding items, following up with colleagues as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of pre‑payments, accruals and balance‑sheet items.
• Store financial documentation clearly and consistently.
• Monitor income and expenditure across activities and entities.
• Allocate income and costs to the correct projects, departments and entities.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and consistency.
• Support intercompany accounting and recharges where required.
• Monitor cash‑flow and provide relevant reports.

Required profile

• Few years of relevant finance or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid bookkeeping and finance management skills.
• Ability to work hands‑on with accounting systems.
• Motivation to develop into a senior finance leadership role.
