Field Technical Service Engineer – Flexible Packaging

About the role

As a Field Technical Service Engineer for flexible packaging, you will support Amcor’s customers and equipment manufacturers across France and the wider EMEA region. You will act as the technical bridge between the company, its clients and OEMs, ensuring that packaging lines operate efficiently and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical assistance at customer and OEM facilities for a range of flexible packaging applications (VFFS, flow‑wrap, lidding, HFFS pouch, blister).
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to materials, machines and product interactions, delivering detailed service reports.
• Support packaging trials from laboratory testing through to industrial scale‑up, collaborating with R&D and customers.
• Collect and analyse technical data to accelerate product development and ensure machine compatibility.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to troubleshooting efforts across multiple product segments (dairy, meat, pet food, ready meals, pharma).

Required profile

• Technical background in packaging engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work independently on customer sites.
• Willingness to travel up to 70 % of the time.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with VFFS, flow‑wrap, lidding, HFFS pouch and blister packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of material‑machine‑product interaction troubleshooting.
• Ability to generate technical service reports and analyse trial data.
