Field Service Engineer – Meat

About the role

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Meat to install, commission and service advanced meat processing equipment for leading manufacturers across France, primarily in the Brittany region. You will work on‑site at customer locations, ensuring machines operate at peak performance while representing the company with professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service meat processing machinery at customer sites.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics and corrective actions on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, rebuilds and equipment upgrades.
• Provide technical support and training to customers during installations and service visits.
• Document service activities, report deficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction.
• Work flexibly, including weekends, to meet customer and business needs.

Required profile

• Mechatronics or mechanical engineering background (education or equivalent experience).
• Experience servicing, maintaining or commissioning complex capital equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in both mechanical and electrical domains.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout France.
