Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer – Aerospace

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer to join a new military program within the Military Derivatives department in Toulouse. The role focuses on assessing and validating the fatigue behaviour and damage tolerance of metallic, composite and hybrid aerospace structures.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and validate fatigue and damage tolerance of metallic parts and composite/hybrid structures.
• Prepare, review and justify stress dossiers, test programs and related reports.
• Define justification approaches and monitor progress in collaboration with Technical Authority and senior engineers.
• Support manufacturing by assessing non‑conformities and providing corrective recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with design engineers, internal and external stakeholders, including civil and military authorities and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for aerospace structures.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical findings effectively.
