Export Control Investigator

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Export Control Investigator to join its Legal and Compliance department in Toulouse, France. The role supports the Group‑wide effort to enforce Export Control regulations, investigating potential violations and preparing disclosures for authorities such as the U.S. DDTC and BIS.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate Export Control investigations across the company.
• Plan and conduct thorough investigations of export control alerts, implementing immediate remedial measures.
• Identify facts, breached regulations, root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage outside legal counsel and draft disclosures for relevant government authorities.
• Prepare internal investigation reports and present trends, KPIs and relevant topics.
• Collaborate with the Export Control function and Program Office to improve compliance programmes and prevent recurrence.
• Work with divisions, regions and subsidiaries to ensure adherence to Airbus policies.

Required profile

• Strong ability to investigate and analyse potential Export Control violations.
• Knowledge of Export Control regulations, particularly U.S. DDTC and BIS requirements.
• Experience drafting disclosures and investigation reports for government authorities.
• Effective communication skills for internal reporting and presentations.
• Capability to work with legal counsel and cross‑functional teams.
