Experienced MEP Design Engineer / Drafter - HVAC & Plumbing

About the role

An engineering team is looking for an experienced MEP Design Engineer / Drafter to help design and prepare technical documentation for HVAC and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering studies and technical design, understands HVAC and plumbing systems well, and has worked on projects in France.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Develop and update technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Produce detailed plans, sections, schematics and installation drawings.
• Write engineering calculation notes for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Take part in MEP system design from preliminary design through execution.
• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural and other technical disciplines.
• Review and incorporate technical comments and project revisions.
• Prepare technical documentation for construction and execution phases.
• Ensure drawings and calculations are accurate, coordinated and suitable for site execution.
• Communicate with engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Manage assigned tasks independently within project deadlines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in MEP engineering studies, design or technical drafting.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related field.
• Solid experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
• Previous experience on projects in France is preferred; French is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read technical specifications and project documentation, work independently and communicate well.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required)
• Technical drawing and MEP design
