ETOPS & OSD Operational Certification Consultant

About the role

Airbus Protect's Continued Airworthiness and Certification team (APAB2A) is looking for an Operational Certification Consultant to strengthen its ETOPS and MMEL activities. You will work within a team covering a wide range of ETOPS and MMEL tasks across several ATA chapters, such as air conditioning, electrical power, cargo fire protection, airborne auxiliary power and engines. The position is based in Blagnac, near Toulouse.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with the Airbus Operational Certification department (1IAVO)
• Coordinate with the Airbus Design Office and Technical Documentation department (STL) to produce MMEL change projects
• Contribute to the certification plan for the ATA041 ETOPS aspect
• Interact with EASA on major change projects and manage approvals for minor changes
• Follow up ETOPS fleet reliability and continuing airworthiness by tracking engine shutdowns and reviewing in-service events
• Produce ETOPS technical documentation, including operator-customised versions for aircraft deliveries, training materials and in-service information articles
• Respond daily to customer queries on ETOPS topics and MMEL-related problems for the entire Airbus commercial fleet

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably in aeronautics, or experience in Operational Suitability Data, airline operations (including ETOPS) or technical documentation
• Good coordination skills with customers, Airbus Customer Support and Design Offices
• Autonomous, able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Negotiation-level English is mandatory
