Environmental Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Environmental Manager will lead and coordinate environmental performance across assigned construction projects. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory, client, and Exyte environmental requirements while driving continuous improvement and minimizing impacts during project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update the Project Environmental Management Execution Plan throughout the project lifecycle.
• Guarantee compliance with environmental regulations, permits, licences and client‑specific environmental requirements.
• Identify, assess and manage risks related to energy, water, emissions, waste, noise, spills, biodiversity and soil/groundwater protection.
• Set up and operate environmental monitoring systems, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting via Exyte tools such as environmental logs and oneEHS.
• Coordinate contractors to ensure adherence to pollution‑prevention and waste‑management standards.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, manage non‑conformities and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote environmental awareness, training and continuous‑improvement initiatives across project teams and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Environment, Health & Safety or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on construction sites, preferably in complex or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and construction‑related environmental risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities, especially with contractors.
• Fluent French (mandatory) and at least B2 level English.

Required skills

• ISO 14001 environmental management system expertise.
• Proficiency with environmental monitoring tools, including oneEHS and environmental logs.
• Ability to analyse environmental risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Competence in digital reporting and data‑collection platforms.
