Embedded Software Development Engineer (f/m)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer to join the Avionics and Simulation department in Toulouse, France. You will work on critical avionics products and high‑fidelity simulators, contributing to the design and production of embedded systems such as Flight Controls and Flight Warning.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the full V‑cycle of real‑time low‑level embedded software from specification to hardware integration.
• Conduct integration and verification using specialised test tools, including probes, bus analyzers and emulators.
• Analyse customer requirements and propose reusable, harmonised software solutions within a DO‑178 regulated environment.
• Provide technical support by analysing failure reports and answering complex queries.
• Drive process improvements by introducing innovative technologies and DevOps methodologies.

Required profile

• Experience in developing safety‑critical embedded software for aerospace applications.
• Familiarity with regulated standards such as DO‑178B/C and DAL A‑C classifications.
• Ability to work in an agile, cross‑functional team and communicate technical information effectively.
