Electronics HW Architect – Power Electronics

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join the Avionic Products and Simulation department in Toulouse. You will design and validate electronic boards for future electric aircraft power equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and specification of power supplies, I/O interfaces and digital parameters on electronic boards.
• Define system interfaces, select CPLD/FPGA components and ensure compliance with engineering CAD rules.
• Establish testing strategies, run numerical simulations and conduct physical validation, including EMC and thermal assessments.
• Integrate regulatory constraints (ABD, DO‑160) and industrial requirements (DfI, DfC) into the design process.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in power electronics engineering and board design.
• Strong knowledge of power switches (MOSFET, GaN, SiC) and magnetic component design (inductors, transformers).
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
